Graham and his client will visit tomorrow, thanks to Sherrie.

Stoney appears to be doing well, no issues noted on his first weekend by his WPR.  He's a nice puppy with good attention in a quiet place.

Princess has learned to empty quickly on any surface and is spending alot of time beside the wheelchair with her handler (4+ hours a day).  We'll bump it up more this week, and she will be performing all tasks from that position.

Welcome Stoney!

Princess is learning the adaptations of the current commands that Erin and I went over, and she appears to be ready to go.  She is still working on learning to empty in places that are heavy with dog scent, and on bark chips.  Sometimes she prefers to hold it until it's an emergency, rather than go where she doesn't want to.  Lee and Gerald are both working on it.

As of 6/22, Hope and Princess are back at PCC, working and playing and resting from being at the kennel.

I have been told that the dogs in our string are generally not cat savvy. I know that Lee and Michele have cats, but Michele's cat is a ghost and generally no one sees her except Michele. Anyone else have a dog savvy cat, or a suggestion on where we can get our dogs around cats?

The handlers love to get pictures of the dogs on outings. Please remember to include the dog only, no pics of your kids, your home or family in the shots. Shots in front of signs are ok too~like Old Sturbridge Village, Water Slides, etc.

Thanks to all who went to/are going to the Upham House to visit our friend Harry! He loves the dogs and has devoted much of his life to fund raising for NEADS through the Medfield Lions Club and as a speaker for NEADS itself. We will continue our visits until he goes home. I am looking for the following from your puppies: to be at home with the smells and people in a facility like this~it's like a hospital and our clients do spend lots of time in them. To ride the elevator calmly, no rude behavior, no excessive sniffing of or rubbing on the patients, REST or VISIT from the dogs over 9 months, leave it on the carpeting, SAY HELLO from dogs over 1 year, sit for petting for dogs under 1 year. These are in addition to normal obedient behavior. Harry is happy to help you with any and all of these.

I have been told that Hope is not doing well in the kennel, displaying fears, slow to trust, generally being a poodle.  He may not be returning with Princess and Graham when they return next Friday.

No word on Princess yet.

Hope and Princess are both off to Princeton for evaluation until June 22.  Hoping to hear from Christy and Jen soon!

Hi All,

Slight change in plans to make things a little easier and cover more
in the time we have.
Still leaving Michele's at 715, however,
we will then car pool up, and head to the train station (which is just
up the street) leaving right at 715 for the arrival of the 730 and 742
trains. We will do a little work there meeting the trains, working the
stinky glass elevator and the pedestrian bridge. (Younger pups will
work in the lot across the street from train.) After this we will
drive the mile or so to the park, park in the lot there, walk part of
the the Park Grounds, (where you will encounter dogs,
rollerbladers, bicyclists,
runners and walkers) and into the school playground area, then over a
metal clunky aluminum bridge into the ballfield areas which are lit at
night, to the basketball courts, if time, and back to our cars. Be
prepared for a good 2 miles with intermittent rest and training stops.

If anyone wants to show up earlier, that's fine. I have a fenced yard
and your dog can run around. There is also a great Italian restaurant
at the bottom of my street if you want to have a nice,
heavy, Italian meal before your walk.

Be sure to wear comfy walking shoes.
Bring some high value treats with your regular stuff.
Any questions? just email me.
Right now, I have Lisa Smith, Terry and Christina as coming.
Please let me know if you are joining us so we will be ready to hop
and go.
If you will be a little later, you can always just meet us at the
train or at the park as they are both just up the street.
Congratulations to Rich, Tommy and Chris, Buckles has been matched!
