We've been swimming at the lake, to a NEADS graduation, training every Saturday at Alpha Dog and going to visit a nursing home this Sunday, all this month!
Star is gone to Princeton and has been matched, so we'll see her again at the October graduation. Bravo Star, Mark and Heather and family!
General~65~is working diligently with Mark and Lisa to polish up his heeling and attention work in crowds and around other dogs. He will learn PULL and LIGHTS OUT this month, the last of the commands that he needs to learn before he gets matched.
Jewel~61~is now 7 months old. She got to meet another Shiloh at graduation last Sunday. Blue is a very big boy, and a gentleman. We are finding that taking Jewel on field trips requires a little more planning (where will she NOT be in the way?) than taking the others due to her size. However, she was unflappable throughout the entire graduation~walked miles in the mall and the city, underground T stations, bars, restaurants, riding the T, etc. The only thing that still challenges her alot is other dogs~she is very social.
Roger~47~got neutered last week, although for all intents it was more of a spay. He was cryptorchid and so the vet had to go up and retrieve what needed to be removed. One scar is 10 inches, the other about 3. Poor guy is still on bed rest, although it hasn't slowed him down very much.
