These are the things that I've discussed with handlers in class or things that I have seen with WPRs during Saturday morning training that need to be worked on.

All teams:

Stairs...one at a time. If your dog is already doing well, practice having another person run up and down while you're walking one step at a time with your dog. Dog should take one step at a time then look to the handler for instruction.

Set up the dog with a partner placing food on the ground. If your puppy shows excessive interest, tell him to LEAVE IT. Correct for lunging, stopping, sniffing.

When approaching another dog, ask your dog for attention~WATCH ME. If the dog ignores the command but doesn't go toward the other dog remain silent and continue on. If the dog complies, praise or food reward.

Same with being in proper position. If the dog goes from the HEEL to the SIDE or to another position and doesn't need to be corrected, praise or food. If you need to correct the position, no food or praise. Try again.

These are the things I'd like you to work on with your dogs. If they complete the command without correction offer food or strong praise. If not, correct and try again.

Tuffy~Practice not grabbing things off the floor. Attention with other dogs around.
Willie~Heeling in a distracting place. Practice not grabbing things off the floor. Attention with other dogs around.
Rose~Practice not grabbing things off the floor. Attention work with other dogs or people around.
