Updates~ Roger has been released from the NEADS program due to behavioral concerns that would not be a problem for a pet dog, but are unacceptable for a service dog. We worked from the time Roger was a puppy on these issues and in the end, stopped trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Roger's exuberant personality and beautiful nature will be missed by his entire training team, his handlers, his WPR Michele, and by me. He has found a wonderful home with a loving family. Thank you to all who worked with Roger along his journey!
After a few weeks of task training with us, Sully has gone back to his full time raisers. He was a great dog to train, lots of fun and spunk. I hope he retains all of what Scott taught him, and we hope to have him back soon!
General is working hard on getting his DOWN command as fast as possible. He will stop immediately, but takes a second to get into the down. He was a huge hit with the kids at the Franklin Downtown Festival on Sunday.
Jewel is doing well, growing at an almost alarming rate. We are trying lots of supplements and high calorie treats to keep her from looking too skinny! Her retrieve is excellent and her obedience is coming along. She is very aware of her size and executes perfectly. She visited us at the Franklin Downtown Festival on Sunday, here she is demonstrating the UNDER command.
