Deacon~55~Deacon is hitting puberty and trying out a bit of independance. We're working hard on attention under distraction and obedience basics. Tasks are coming along well, but we are not rushing him. He is a bit mouthy on hte retrieve so we're back to basics on that. At doggy daycare he was a little overwhelmed with all of the dogs in the place, but fell into step in a short time without problems.
Sully~55~Sully's out with his WPRs for the last time this weekend, we're planning on his return to Princeton in March. We're working on an automatic retrieve and also on his hearing skills, getting him trained to all of the sounds that he will need to indicate on and perfecting his indication, too. He knows what he needs to do and will already complete two circuits without prompting, so I am hopeful that Christy will need only to polish him up when he returns.
