Arin,9, born with Microcephaly, a rare condition causes her physical and mental challenges. A social dog will give her independence and a better connection with people. Arin, loving and friendly, easily captures your heart but has difficlty talking.
Microcephaly although rare causes many physical and mental challenges. Arin has difficulty walking and performing household activities. She has worked very hard to overcome these challenges. She has developed a passion for dogs and will benefit from a social dog to keep on task and further her development, improve her speech, and communicate better with other children her age. She is often misundersood because she does not have the same sensory feedback that others do. The dog will help this. Her hugs and personal contact tend to be excessively hard. This special dog will give independence, responsibility and confidence. We have researched many organizations across the country that train service dogs. We feel NEADS has the best experience to train a dog for Arin and therefore have chosen to travel all the way from NC to MA to meet Arin's need. We need your help to raise the $9500 for Arin's dog.
