UPDATE:
Sally is looking great and will be leaving us on Marathon Monday, April 19. She and Dawn along with Elsa and Lisa will be driving up to the NEADS Princeton campus to drop their pups off for the last time with trainer Christy Bassett. I could not be more proud of these two teams, as they both faced major uphill battles with thier puppies. Sally was a fearful puppy and was going to be failed for it, but Cindy really liked her and asked if I would give her a try. I told Dawn when I gave her the little yellow pup that her chances were not great, but Dawn stepped up and made her what she is today. Until Elsa was 9 months old, WPR Lisa never knew if when she sat down there would be a puddle left behind~she had a urinary issue that went on for a LONG time and Lisa was a saint for keeping her. Lisa has also developed the best emergency kit there is~ask her what's in it next time you see her.
We all wish both Elsa and Sally the best of luck. I know they will both be well matched, Christy is wonderful at what she does so they will be in excellent hands.
JC has turned a corner. She has gone from being disinterested in working to throwing herself into it, tail up and wagging. She has made me so proud of her these last few weeks! She is still working on UNDER and THROUGH at my house, but is a champ in the facility. Off leash recall is at 100%, and she is jumping into my SUV with one command and no bait.
Rubin has hit puberty. He is working well but seems to be distracted by the springtime scents and activity. This is perfectly normal and I assured Billy that his brain will return shortly~he will be neutered next month. :) He is working on the retrieve (without mouthing) and basic obedience with zero hand signals.
Cheyenne has been moved to our Framingham location.
We all did outdoor classes last week at Fino Field in Milford. The dogs were excellent.
We went to the Abundant Table in Norwood http://www.abundant-table.org/ to serve dinner. Dogs were amazing, if a little sniffy of the guests and each other.
This week we are going back to Bethany Nursing home, all of the dogs will attend.
