Training notes, 121710

Rubin did well at the mall, no issues in the crowd, ignores strangers.  His obedience when working with Gerald is amazing~he loves to work and is an easy dog to partner with.  Less so with WPR.  No physical corrections, he is too sensitive to it and will shut down if he's corrected harshly.  I did notice that when a stranger tries to pet his head he will still duck to avoid.

Merlin is doing well, can hold open a very heavy door and is working on a better retrieve.  We're trying for a perfectly still retrieve, no mouthing the item.  He's a fun dog to work, very easy on the leash and dives into anything asked of him.  No fears at the mall, even with the many, many people that come up to greet him...constantly.

Duke is working on the Canny collar now. Chris is trying to learn how to keep proper tension on the leash which is held in the same hand as the harness.  Duke is now performing the FRIDGE command without a second command and will NUDGE from across the room.  WPR notified me that Duke has been barking at people who come into her home, so she and Chris are working on having those people who come in feeding a high value treat when they come in and he's quiet.

Welcome Major!!  DOB 101710, Damon is his handler, WPR is Terry.
