072311

On 072311 I met Gillis, Tess, Major and Rosella at the local train station. Gillis and Tess showed no adverse reaction to the train coming into the platform, then leaving.  Major and Rosella both had fear reactions, both tried to flee, Rosella having the worse reaction.  Major's WPR has been working on this for a few weeks.  I asked the WPRs to get the dogs back there to practice from across the lot, working up to being on the platform.
We then went to the ice rink and while we were there a thunder storm passed over us.  The metal building caused the sound of the thunder to be amplified and Rosella was clearly a little rattled by it.  Major did everything faster, with more enthusiasm and was sharky with treats.  Rosella had a difficult time with the bleachers and the little boy who came over to meet the dogs in his hockey uniform~complete with helment and cage, gloves, etc.  Both Rosella and Major seemed to grow alot longer when meeting the little boy, but both were ok with meeting the figure skaters and other people in the arena.
Tess and Gillis appeared to have little reaction to the storm, were happy to meet people, and did fine on and under the bleachers.
