At only 8 months old, Waldo is the oldest and wisest here. From what I am told, Waldo started out here as a VERY difficult puppy, but with the help of Cindy his NEADS trainer, and Paul his handler, he's really turned around! Waldo now knows all of his commands and works beautifully for Paul. He is finding it challenging working in the same environment as all of the new puppies, but is working through it. Waldo will be doing "advanced wheelchair work" this month, meaning that Paul will spend up to half of his day in a wheelchair so he can begin to understand what it is like to have to work with the limitations of being handicapped, and so begin to train Waldo in some "real life" scenarios.
